The territory of Villasimius is 40 km from the port of Cagliari and about 50 km from Elmas airport. Once you leave the capital of the island, you cross a stretch of plain of the municipality of Quartu Sant’Elena, third Sardinian town for the number of inhabitants, and you begin to face the road with many hairpin bends and breathtaking views.

 
 

Before arriving in Villasimius, you will meet the seaside resorts of: Cala Regina, Geremeas, Torre delle Stelle, Solanas, it will be easy to see promontories rich in typical Mediterranean vegetation and coves with emerald sea and sometimes turquoise.

Villasimius welcomes the tourist with a wild grace creating strong feelings that will push us to return. The territory is composed of an area of 56 square kilometers, extending from Mount Minni Minni (725 meters), north, to the island of cabbages, south.

 

The eastern border is located on the island of Serpentara, while the western border is located on the promontory of Capo Boi. From the highest point in Minni Minni, accessible by guided tours, mountain biking and walking, you can see the entire territory of Villasimius.

 

The village lies in the vast plain of Simius at the foot of Bruncu Tiriarxius and Bruncu Campulongu, beyond which stretches the headland of the extreme coast of south-east Sardinia Capo Carbonara followed by the ‘Island of Cavoli.

 

On the Sette Fratelli massif and in the secular forests, which the territory of Villasimius preserves and which it wants to safeguard with the establishment of the mountain and marine parks, have found their ideal habitat some protected and some endangered species, such as a growing colony of deer and wild boar, golden eagles, buzzards, ravens, wild cats, martens, foxes, pigeons, woodpeckers, pink flamingos and numerous other animals, that we can meet by going along the paths and paths that enter this fantastic territory.
